KEEP YOURSELF PROTECTED BY THESE COMMON WINTER ILLNESSES



Winter the season is a beautiful season, which is best for many activities. However, the winter season comes with many diseases that mainly attack small children. Although the diseases are not restricted to any age, the little ones are more susceptible to these winter diseases.

This winter season we need to prepare ourselves with precautions to keep the illnesses at the bay. Although, cold and flu are quite common during the winter season, yet there are some home remedies and precautions that can help us to protect ourselves from diseases. Here are some of the common winter diseases and their symptoms are:

COMMON COLD

The most common winter problem in winter is the common cold and this problem is seen in both the adult and children. The common cold is also known as cold, and it is a viral infectious disease. Here is a list of symptoms.
Stuffy or runny nose
Frequent cough
Body aches
Mild headache
Congestion in the chest region
Frequent sneezing
Uneasy feeling
Sore throat
If the fever persists for more than five days, then call a doctor at home for treatment. The prolonged occurrence of such type of health disorder can lead to the development of pneumonia in some cases. Therefore, it is important to diagnose this condition early.

INFLUENZA FLU

Influenza flu is another illness in the winter season. Influenza flu refers to the viral infection that attacks the human respiratory system, including the throat, lungs, and nasal region. The symptoms of influenza flu are:
Body pain and aching muscles
Continuous headache
Fever
Dry and persistent cough
Weakness and fatigue
Sore throat
Congestion in the nasal region

The influenza flu viruses travel through the air in the form of droplets when someone sneezes in front of others.
To keep these viruses at bay, one can take an annual flu vaccination. If the situation persists, it might lead to the development of severe diseases like ear infections, pneumonia, asthma flare-ups, bronchitis, etc.

Try to avoid people with flu or common cold
Keep your hands clean
Switch to hot foods and drinks
Consume nutrition rich in vitamins and minerals
Breathe fresh and healthy air
